Rockwall County Hospital Auxiliary, Inc.
The Rockwall County Hospital Auxiliary, Inc. is the official arm of the hospital volunteer program. As a nonprofit organization, the auxiliary strives to promote the health and welfare of the Rockwall community in accordance with the mission, vision and values of a nonprofit hospital auxiliary. Our auxiliary donates time and money to several charitable organizations in the area, offers scholarships to Rockwall County high school seniors and provides support services within our local hospital. Their service to the community has met many needs and provided a wealth of resources to individuals throughout Rockwall and the surrounding area.
How to Apply
Applications will be accepted during the following months only: August/September, and February/ March. You must complete an application; sign a statement of confidentiality; and a release to run a criminal background check. No one with a misdemeanor conviction (other than for a minor traffic violation) or a felony conviction can be accepted as a volunteer. Volunteers are also required to provide two references from outside their family. Applicants will be contacted by the Volunteer Office to schedule an in-office interview.
All volunteers must attend volunteer orientation and have an employee health assessment completed prior to beginning volunteer placement.
Assignments may cover a range of duties including: clerical duties, assisting patients in the waiting rooms, and providing assistance in non-clinical areas. We cannot guarantee that a volunteer position is available in your preferred area.
