Outpatient Therapy Services
Our Outpatient Clinic is an extension of the hospital, located next door in the Medical Office Building. For this reason, patients who receive treatment in our clinic are not subject to the Medicare therapy caps that are imposed on patients who seek treatment at independent freestanding outpatient clinics. This means that we can continue to see patients as long as they are making progress and appropriate for our therapy services. This is especially critical for those possibly needing longer-term outpatient therapy, such as someone who has suffered a stroke, complicated orthopedic repair, brain injury, etc.
Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists provide treatment to a wide variety of clients who may be affected by recent orthopedic surgery, traumatic injury, stroke (CVA), traumatic brain injury, pain, disorders of the back and neck, muscle imbalances, frequent falls, impaired balance, congenital or neurological disorders and many more ailments. Assistive devices, adaptive equipment, manual therapy, exercise, home exercise programs, education, and modalities (including LASER and iontophoresis) are just a few of the tools available to our therapists to help improve client outcomes and progress. For example, our speech language pathologist can provide electrical stimulation to muscles in the throat to help improve speech quality and/or improve swallowing, making a GREAT improvement in quality of life for some patients, even allowing for PEG tube removal in some cases.
Our therapists treat clients in a new, state-of-the-art therapy gym. We take pride in providing a great environment with a one-on-one, hands-on approach.
We would LOVE for you to give us the opportunity show you that our hospital and our therapy staff truly do have healing hands and caring hearts.
